As a manufacturer, I think improving our productivity is important considering that the economy has not fully recovered. Shouldn't we encourage a big lot production?

If you only think about productivity, other problems will occur. Actually a bigger lot production could reduce production cost but at the same time it increases products in process and stock.
單純地只考慮現(xiàn)場生產(chǎn)效率的話會產(chǎn)生其他問題。大批量生產(chǎn)的確可以降低制造成本，但與此同時，半成品和庫存也會增加。

It increases assets. Then it means we would have low asset turnover and it affects our profitability. On top of that, our funds would be absorbed by processing and stock costs that couldn't be recovered, so eventually it would cause cash-flow problems.
會增加資產(chǎn)。這樣的話，資產(chǎn)周轉(zhuǎn)率就會惡化，影響盈利能力。而且，資金處于被半成品和庫存吸收的狀態(tài)，無法收回，最終也導(dǎo)致資金難以周轉(zhuǎn)。
